ok i got a 91 rs laser n/t an i just got a 2002 evo motor 4g63 with 16g turbo.. i got the harness, ecu, all i need is the intercooler an pipein... but what im wonderin is will it fit let me kno asap... thank you

There is a guy in salt lake that is rolling around with an evo motor in his 1g, but no idea how much it cost him, but its possible.

Sure it is possible, but what a waste of money when you can just drop in a turbo DSM motor and get almost the same results. Sell the Evo stuff to someone with a 3G or a Galant and buy yourself a turbo DSM motor and harness, or better yet, go buy a car that already has one. They are easily had for under $2000 at this point.

well the guy im gettin the motor from said the the tranny hooks up to the passanger side just like the dsm???

The Evo engine compartment is the first picture and the Eclipse is the second picture. See how the engines sit on the opposite sides of eachother.

and since we're on the topic of EVO engine swaps, There was a guy who swapped the EVO 7-9 engine into a 2G non-turbo because the 2G N/T wears its engine like the EVO. I don't have any additional info unfortunately. :p

Since you have most of the evo parts what you can do is buy a cheap 2 doors 97 up Mirage and do your swap that will cost you less compared to your laser.

I thought the N/T motors had the same orientation as the current EVO's but maybe I am wrong. Really not very familiar with the N/T motors.:coy:
