my oil pressure is super high! help! the stock gauge is reading H and the new oil pressure gauge on the pillar reads to 100 and its way past 100. I dont know what to do. I just replaced the oil pump and all the belts.

no i did niether of those... The oil pump is a JDM thats all thats diff. it has new seals ect. There is a New balance shaft belt and new timing belt. I have a Glowshift oil pressure gauge that came with a new sending unit. I hooked them both up to it. The stock oil pressure gauge goes to HIGH when turning the car to the on position without starting the car. The Glowshift gauge goes IMMEDIATELY past 100 as soon as the car is started. I am using the sending unit hole by the crank pulley. I dont know whats going on. The car runs great but this is insane. No reason there should be that much oil pressure.

It's not, if it is goint go H without the car started, there's got to be something wrong with your wiring. Did you touch any of the factory sending unit stuff?

Edit: So you connected your stock guage to the new sending unit also? Is the sending unit perhaps connected to a power-source that's feeding it, so it's getting FULL voltage from the power source, rather than acting as a measurement device?

yes i had to pull out the stock sending unit. But heres what I dont understand why is the stock gauge going way up when cars off but when the cars on THE GLOWSHIFT GUAGE rockets. It not something i understand.

Because your stock guages are connected to the power-source with the key "ON" You probably have the other guage wired up to a 12V source that's only get's power with ignition...

I THINK I FIGURED OUT MY PROBLEM! I unhooked the new sending unit and hooked the stock one back up and then ONLY hooked up the stock oil pressure gauge and the pressure is perfect. right where it should be. Now all I have to do is hook up the glowshift gauge to the sending unit and junk or send the new one back. then i have to finish the last wire on it. There is an extra 12v wire that I do not have hooked up. I should ###### hook that up but i cant find what ones are hot and which arent. but i believe my problems fixed. Thanks guys:thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
