Hood Heat shield

Does anyone know where I can get a heat shield for the bottom of my hood, the part right where the tubular exhaust manifold kind of meets the hood, My carbon fiber hood is showing signs of heat.
Can anyone help.

A local pick and pull junkyard would probably be the best for that as it would be a pain to ship. You might also want to try the dealer if you're looking for a new one, they probably sell it separately.

I dont have a stock exhaust manifold though, but would a junk yard have a heat sheild for under the hood.

The heat shields from junk yards might disintegrate when you try to take it off. Try the dealer or check ebay for a stick on heat shield. I know Dynomat makes one.

I bet I could get away with just buying the header wrap from dynomat and wraping it around my exhaust manifold. I probably should just for safety buy the stick on shield and put it on the hood.

For safety, you should do both.

Ceramic coating the manifold is another good option.

Header wrap is not a good idea for daily driven car. It can allow moisture to be trapped and create rust pretty quickly. I think getting the manifold coated is a better option.

Jet-Hot ceramic coating. Or check locally for someone doing the same thing.

www.jet-hot.com will reduce under hood temps. If you just want it to look pretty spray it with a can of VHT 2000.

Would the tape work, it says This reflective heat shield tape withstands 1000°F continuous of radiant heat and up to 400°F direct contact.
I would put it on my hood where the exhaust manifold matches up with it.

Sorry to dig this up from the dead guys, but I was wondering if anyone knew the part number for the insulation piece and the retainer clips.. I looked it up in caps, and the dealer is telling me the part number I came up with is wrong. Let me know, thanks.

I called my dealer and the part number is mn119849.
He also said they were discontinued.
