Help. A day ago I was driving my car along and I went to a stop light and it starting idleing really low. It got to 500 rpm's and I pushed the gas when it was time to change and it died. I started it back up and it was making this wierd noise and now i've been looking for what went wrong and didn't find anything, but when I push the clutch in, it makes this grinding sound and when i let it go nothing happens?

So you're saying that when you push in the clutch it makes the sound and it doesn't go anywhere when you release it? It sounds to me like you'll need to pull the tranny to replace the clutch... Any more info about what's happening?

well i can actually move it around but like when i push the clutch in it like has a sound to it like a grinding sound but then i let go of the clutch the sound is gone so do you think it could b signs or something is loose

Clutch or the throw out bearing. Either way, sounds like you've got to pull the transmission to find out.

Could be the clutch not grabbing to the flywheel or throwout bearing grinding against the diaphragm section of the pressure plate. You have to pull it to see!

ok found the problem it wasn't even the clutch ok i was looking around and on the back of my intake manifold theres a bracket that has vacuum lines hooked up to it and every time i push the clutch it hits the line so then the bracket bounces around on the engine and makes a clicking sound and i move it over a Lil and the sound has seemed to become quieter so im gonna put some bolts on it like it should have been when the shop put the whole engine back together thanks anyways
