i noticed on the freeway today when im on the throttle and under boost the car seems to surge..when i watch my boost gauge i watch it go jump from 9-5psi and it does this continously under WOT...its only under WOT...i dont understand it ive never seen this before...im only running 9psi as i dont have a boost controller hooked up right now..Thanks for the help everybody!!
 
the plugs were changed not to long ago..im going to be setting up a 3in maf and maf translater and maybe that will take car of the prob.when i do this ill post and tell how the car is running thanks for the help
 
no im sry that wasnt a typo just bad wording...i meant to say it drops..i dont notice it in first or second for somereason but 3rd 4th and 5th it happens when ever im WOT....the car in running real rich right now as well...as i need a fuel controller...im trying to get the bugs worked out and it running good as i just got done with it..:dsm:

Not sure if your BOV is stock or not but on my 2G when I first got it the stock BOV was dumping boost at WOT and I would drop 3-4 PSI and it would feel like :beatentodeath: ...

but I agree with everyone else Check for leaks and see how it goes, good luck. :thumb:
 
he drives a 1g so that would not likely be the problem. My car does something simalar to that. but the boost level is different in different gears.

1st 10psi
2nd 12psi
3rd 14psi
4th 15psi
5th 17psi

this is at WOT I have it set at 15 with a mbc but as you can see its only 15 in 4th i set it at 3rd to be 15 but don't know. Well i guess its different it holds these levels in different gears it doesn't jump.

Right, assuming you are comparing the stock 1G BOV to the stock 2G BOV.

As for your boost being different in different gears, -is your BCS still hooked up?
 
I also had a hard time getting the thing to 15psi.
Hmmm... sounds like a little exhaust leak pre-turbine. Especially since you are able to reach higher boost in taller gears. I see you run a 14b like myself, -you might have the very common WG seat cracking. It happens fairly often on older 14b's and 16g's.
 
the bov that is on the car is a nock off of a tial 50mm...i have a turbo xs one that im changing it to...the bov is on problum...
