Is the Slowboy MBC any good? Its on the car that I just bought and I need to know if its worth keeping on there or if its going to spike on me...

I bought my '91 AWD with a SB MBC and had no boost spike once I tapped into the J-pipe instead of the BOV line the previous owner teed into. That was with a 14b.
