installed a ACT 2600 and street disk with oem throw out bearing.
almost no miles on it.

When I press the clutch to disengage it it sounds like a rubbing/ scratching noise.
it shifts perfect and engages very strong.

i notice it at low rpm when i want into gear. but it seems when i get the car going up the road it dissappears.

I havent beat on it or anything i need to break it in still.
but should i be worried about this??

Has anyone had this happen before?

Thanks
Mike

what does pack the bearing mean??

I got grease/lub and lubed the crap outta the shaft and bearing...???

Did i miss something??

on a side note i took it out last night for a spin up the road and the noise only happened once.....

Thanks guys.
Mike

^ I sure did

Mine came with one of those NSK ones
I had to wait a week to put my tranny back in because I was waiting on an oem TOB

Sounds like you just got a bad one then. It happens sometimes unfortunately. No manufacturer is perfect. You could drive it around for a while as is, but plan to replace it soon. My RX7 had a bad TOB and it lasted for quite a while. Though I replaced it before it seized up.

ok now if i take out my tranny again is there a way to tell for sure that it was my tob??
before i go buy a new one to find it was something else?
