I installed my new oil cooler today and everything went smootly until I tried to take this metal line and its bolt from the old oil cooler.

The line twisted and broke off. So now I cant do anything with my car until I fix that.

My question is, what is this line and where can I get a new one? I know I will be able to get a new one fro the dealer but they dont open until tuesday.

Would I be able to just take out the smaller bolt from the larger one and retap the line?

Same thing happened to me when I tried taking it off this weekend... I replaced it with a ss one for my new turbo.

A brake line from autozone will work fine. (I used one for a year before I got ss). They'll have a couple of differenct sizes, so you'll want to get that out and take it to them. Also, note the length, as that varies too.

I have a question about the oil return line, I'm putting one of my 14b's on my camaro and I was wondering if the oil return line has to be travling down or if it could travel about 2-4 inches higher than the turbo thanks

It has to travel down. Even horizontal isn't good. And they're right about a 14b not being a good turbo for a v8.
