How much work is involved in getting an Aem standalon to work in 90 1g because on Bushur's website they list theirs as workin on 91-94 cars. I just reall tired of trying to find a cheap 90 eprom.

A 91-94 ecu will work in your 90 as long as you change some things around.

With that said, if you've never touched a fuel computer before, this is something you need to stay far away from unless you're willing to pay somebody to set it up for you, and whoever sets it up needs to know what they're doing. If you're looking for something to replace the stock ecu, this is not what you need.

The car would defiantley be taken to buschur to be tuned, and i was jsut getting at the point the i'm going to pay 350 for a rebuilt ecu and another 600 for dsmlink when I could an AEM for a few hundred more.

A 1G eprom usually costs around $250, but even if we go with your original estimate, you're still paying only $950 for an ecu and dsmlink, versus $1600 for an AEM box. Even the cheapest used AEM system will cost more than what you'll pay for an eprom + dsmlink. And then you still have to pay for tuning, which I can't imagine will be cheap.

Unless you have realistic plans of going big dogg in the mid future (~2 years from now or so), getting an AEM is serious overkill with your money better off being spent elsewhere.
