Car idles but doesnt drive

so, i picked up a 91 tsi automatic awd for a parts/money making oppertunity (i got an amazing deal), but the car doesnt drive. It will start, but as soon as you touch the throttle it dies out or stutters and recovers to an idle. I put in new plugs, set the timing, and checked for vac leaks (wasnt able to check for boost leaks yet as my tester is at my cousins). I know the tps is not adjusted proplerly, but i put it in many different positions and it didnt help at all. i noticed that it idled better with the maf unpluged, so i tried 2 others that i know worked and they still do the same thing. when they are pluged in the car runs worse han when unpluged. i pulled the ecu and noticed that the caps smell fishy, but i do not see any leakage yet nor do i see any visable cracks in them, could the ecu be the problem or are there other things i should check first?

Can you put up some clear, closeup pics of the caps and the board?

ill try to get some pics tonight. but the board and caps look like brand new, no flaws, just a little smelly.

i cannot get pics of the ecu as my camera isnt working properly right now. is there anything else i should be checking until i can get pics posted? are my symptoms a sign of a bad ecu?

here is a pic of the ecu, i do see some leakage and damage to the board. where can i send it to get it repaired?

i cant get the picture to load for some reason?
