alright, so i searched the forums about engine management and ecu, of course i can't post a thread there and couldn't seem to find what i was looking for. My question is, i know you need to properly tune your car after replacing injectors and upgraded turbo, and your fuel and all that fun stuff. So, of course you go with either a piggy back style AFC or the DSM link as i have been hearing but can you just get your ECU remaped and it would be the same? or do you need both?

If you have an eprom ecu, the chip route could work well. About $120 for chip and $20 if you change injector size. This guy has a number of features he can program on the chip including fuel trims, fuel cut remover, higher idle, stutter box, knock checksum on CEL, plus a bunch of other bug fixes/improvements.

i use the chip and safc combo with 650's and a 20g
dsm link sounds good but i like keeping everything in the car and im not buying a lap top . it works great :thumb: :thumb: and you can always send it back to get remaped for $20 if you change your setup easy as that he gets you really close to a STOICH RATIO lil tuning with tha safc is needed

ok thanks guys gives me a little bit more of an opening of understanding all this, so is there a certaing brand of aftermarket ECU i should look for or stay away from?

you just want to get an eprom ecu so you can use the chip.
