weird.. maybe fuel cut??

Ok i have a 92 talon tsi awd i had just recently bought it and tried to clean up the engine bay i took the stock aircan off and the heat shield off the manifold off.....ever since i did that when it hits 5500 the car seems to stop for a sec and then pic up is this fuel cut and are anything i did the cause of it?

1. Check your plugs and wires.

2. Perform a boost leak test.

3. Put your manifold heatshield back on.
