Hey, Now first off I am sorry for bringing up a dead thread, anyway I was looking for Carbon Fiber Headlight Covers for my 1ga. I have a VIS Carbon hood on the way and I am trying to find the covers aswell. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Garret.

I have honestly never seen these, Id love to see them if you do find them though.

That would be them, Thanks a lot. Anyone know if there would be a noticeable difference from VIS to these? Are the weaves noticeably different?

Not sure on the difference in the weave, but I can tell you that I wasn't happy at all with my hood from this shop. The fitment was very poor and the hood was put in bubble wrap too quickly after it was cleared so you can see small circles in the clear coat under certain lighting. The headlight lids did come out pretty well though I should say. Just curious how well does your VIS fit? I had some serious problems with my Frank's lining up with the top of my fender line from the side- there were nice gaps under the hood that were visible if you kneeled down and looked at the car.

well i dont know if you guys are looking at the same thing i am but the look pretty bad. as well as being way way way overpriced. Look at the hood side edges, and look at the top left corner of the driver side, ripple in the laydown. Cool idea, shure- worth 250$- not to me...

I agree, I find that very hard to justify for $250 since his whole hood is like $375. I love the idea but if its poor quality I think I might just stick with the stock covers.

On a side note do you think this would look good.

Red/Black 1ga talon AWD
Carbon Fiber Hood
Red Headlight Covers
Red Center peice
Tinted Black Parking/Corner Lights
Stock 1ga front bumper

How does that sound to you guys?

It sounds good except I wouldn't do the red headlight covers

I like the look of all carbon fiber for the hood and headlight covers just as much as painting them both black. So since you already have a carbon fiber hood on the way than go for getting the headlight covers also.

The car will look good with the red pop ups, Don't paint them black or flat black, because that will look cheap. I'd look around and wait I've seen these around before. If you keep them red it will still look good

Thanks for the feedback. Trust me I am not going to paint them black, sorry to say it is way to cheap looking for me. I would rather get quality parts than fakes. But I am starting to think of changing it a bit. keep carbon hood, red headlight covers, black center peice, and all clear lights. Which would look better?

I have the VIS and it lines up pretty nice. I also had some black paint laying around, so I painted my headlight covers and the top of my spoiler (sun faded like a mo). I think they look good and not cheap at all. The VIS hood has a black stripe along the outside anyways and it flows really well with the black headlights. Here's a pic as a reference.
