the bolt that goes through the front of the driven gear holds the balance shaft on, so yeah it'll come out with it. Now for the hard part....new bearings or eliminator kit?

Yes, the rear BS is bolted directly to the oil pump driven gear and is hollow. The rear BS bearings are fed oil through the shaft itself, so with a BSE there is no need to install block off bearings for the rear BS.
