will the mmcd software i used for my 1g work with a 2g? of course i need a new cable but is it the same software? if not where can I get a good price on a cable and free software?

I can confirm that MMCd is only for 1G's.

If you already have the palm the cheapest route to take is contact http://www.multiplex-engineering.com/
And order the 2 g interface then download OBDGAUGE. Its a pretty decent progam. I use that exact same combo and have not had a problem out of it.
