Ok yesterday i went for a 2 hour drive on the highway in 100 degree weather. I was going 90 to 130 mph. I stopped at jack in the box to get some food and turned off the car. When i turned the car back on i could hear a "turkey call" sound as soon as i turned the car on then it goes away when i let it idle. Everytime i step on the throttle quickly (doesnt matter how far i step on the throttle) it makes the noise again. It happens both during vacuum and boost but only when i step on the throttle.

I tried to fix the problem. I figured my turbo wasnt getting oil so i checked my oil level and the oil was below min so i added enough oil. After that i took it for a test drive and the noise was still there. Then i did a boost leak test. I found that i had a boost leak in my pcv valve (which i already knew i had before but it never gave me this problem) and i also found that my evo 8 blowoff valve was leaking a bit at 7 psi pressure (which i didnt know till then). So i switched my bov back to the stock 2g bov to see if it would help but the noise was still there. This problem never happened before to either bov so i figured it cant be the bov so i put my evo 8 bov back on. I checked the turbo for shaft play but there seems to be none.

THe only way ive found to get rid of the noise is to drive the car for 15 minutes but it is only temporary. Whenever i turn the car off then back on after a few minutes, the noise comes back.

I had a turkey call noise before but it would only happen during boost and would go away after like 5 minutes of normal driving. Now it happens way more often. It happens during both boost and vacuum and takes 15 minutes of hard driving to go away

What could be the problem here?

I found the problem and got it fixed. Turns out my exhaust manifold was leaking. 2 of the bolts were loose and 1 of it was actually missing. I got another bolt and tightened all the bolts that i could reach (6 of 10) and the squealing went away and i feel more power again.

For those of you who dont know. My turbo made a squeeling sound when i started to boost. THis would happen up until my car was at full operation temperature. After driving it for 2 hours one day (i drove it pretty hard at 80-130mph), i turned the car off and turned it back on 10 minutes later. Well, when i drove it the squeeling was worst this time. The squeel would come when i am quick on the throttle, boosting or not.

Anyways i got my car fixed but i broke 2 wrench nut thingies. I dont know ### u call em but they are the things u attach to the wrench. Well i shattered them LOL. Morale of the story is dont try to tighten nuts when they are hot :D
