transmission fit question

will a 1997 galant 2.4L 4g64 transmission fit on a 1999 eclipse spyder gs 4g64 2.4L ?

is it the same transmission? any problems that will occur if i tryed to put the galant trans in my eclipse?

I would call the dealer and get part numbers and see if they are the same, or ask a junk yard. Junk yards usually have a good idea on this because they have to know what they can and can't sell you.

By the way the car you have listed by you name is a 99 gst spyder, but maybe you have two 99 spyders.
