1994 problems

Ok i have a first gen. eclipse,that has the N/t 4g63 motor in it right?? well i got a 4g63 out of a 93 eclipse that was the 4g63 turbo i was needing to know if the oil pans are interchange able? and if the motor out of the 93 will mount up to the auto trans i have?


NOTES:The 93 motor was rebuild but i didnt want it turbo so i left the turbo i want to make it a nonturbo and hope it mounts up to the trans.....I know it is a lil crazy questions but i am hoping you all cant help me

I don't see why it wouldn't fit, 4g63's are made for that car. And for the transmission question, you might have to do a little bit of modding but it should link up fine.

what do u mean modding cause it is going from a 1.8L trans to a 2.0L trans?? there both 6 bolt cranks are they not?

Both 93 and 94 4G63 engines are early 7 bolts, 6 bolts were only used until mid 92. The only major differences between the engines you have are the pistons and the oil squirters. They are interchangable, if something fits on one it will also fit the other.

can on you all....OK it is the 1.8l transmission and motor trying to upgrade just the motor to a 2.0L and trying to keep the trans can it be done??

The only problem I see is that taking the turbo off you are not going to make much power. The N/A motor had a higher compression piston in it and the turbo motor has a low compression piston so you can boost it and make some power. The low comp. ratio with no turbo will cut your power output dramatically.
