MY FIRST LOG please look

my mods are in my profile. and i only had my boost set at 10 and spiked to 15. after i logged, turned around to head back to my house and then when ever the turbo would make boost i would hear a loud squealing noise. im stumped. well here it is and yes i am going to make a boost leak tester in about 20 mins

hmmm, 12 counts of knock AND 24* timing? Back the timing off a tad. Also, its hard to say whats wrong if I dont know a/f ratio. Loud squealing is usually blown turbos. Check for shaft play.

According to your mod list. You have no injectors or a fuel pump. Ive seen people put holes in pistons with a 16g at anything more then 15psi on an otherwise stock fuel system. Dont make anymore pulls until you fix that, or update your mod list if you do have those mods.

Your knocking way to much. Make sure you knock sensor is in proper working order. You should be pulling timing with that much knock.

thanks for the quick replies. i have a 190 pump on order should be here friday. i also have a set of evo 8 injectors that i need to put it. i checked for shaft play and there is some side to side but i cant tell if there is any in and out. where should i look to get my turbo rebuilt? there is a dsm shop down the road but they want $300 for a rebuild is that reasonable??? i think a little high.

ehh not really. 300 bucks for a basically brand new 16g. If they offer a warranty I would do it.

ok heres my goals. i would like to be in the high 12's low 13s. would it be better smarter to go to a another 16, or sell my turbo on ebay and just buy a new turbo?? if so which one.

If theyll build your turbo and warranty it just do that. You dont need anything bigger than a 16G to run what you want to run, but more importantly you better get the right mods and tuning down or you wont be going anywhere.

Find out exactly where its squealing from first. Try to grab the blades, and spin it, but at the same time, pull on it, and try to feel if its rubbing on the inside of the compressor cover.
