i just installed 50trim, wg, dsmlink, fmic, 860cc injectors, fuel pump,
intake not circulated (still need catch can for the VC/PCV) maf-t...
and other stuff i'm not including... since i got that stuff installed
and got my car running i cannot rev above 5000rpm... i think the
problem is related to my ecu or dsm but when i went into my options on
dsmlink i changed the rev limiter and launch rev to 10000, but it still
did not work. so i changed then rev limiter to 2500rpm just to see if
maybe something was wrong with the ecu harness or dsmlink and the rev
limiter adjusted accordingly. i thought it might be the speed sensor
but that is operating perfectly... car is completely untuned could that
be the reason? any ideas were be greatly appreciated thanks

Boost leak test, boost leak test, boost leak test!

I had the exact same problem with almost the exact same mods, and it was a intercooler pipe that wasn't clamped don't enough and was blowing all the pressure out.

You had alot of stuff off making that many upgrades, make sure to check all vaccuum lines and pipes.

I 5000rpms the rev limits kicks in... I have done a boost leak test (smoke test) and everything was fine except the VC is vented and the PVC is not vented it is routed to the intake manifold (because i dont have a catch can)... could that be the reason???

kinda a far out possibility but my friend had a similar problem, he had dsm link and was using the no lift shift option, the car would read the clutch as slightly depressed even when it wasn't and limit him to 5000 rpm regardless of where the limiter was set above 5k. just a thought, we burnt our brains on it for a long time before we figured that one out.
