New question for 6 bolt swap

Has anyone ever found a way to mount the 2g crank angle sensor to the 6 bolt oil pump? I searched and could not find anything. This would be a great way to do the swap and not have a misfire code come up. What is everyones opinion on this?

Sorry man, nothing.

Its not worth it, after Magnus or whoever pioneered the 1G CAS mod way back in 1995/1996 or whatever, trying to rig up some sort of adaptable crank trigger is not feasible for 99% of us.

Good luck though, you may be on to something.

That is how RRE used to do the swap. A while back, before Magnus figured out the CAS trick, the only was to do it was to drill through and mount it.

It would be easier just to get a black top case. If you still get the misfire code Just get DSMLink and your golden. Not to mention DSMlink is really helpful in a ton of other ways.

There is a yahoo group called 1gina2g and they had something about it. They used a hyundai front case that has a mounting place for the crank sensor and bolts to the 6 bolt block.

Any idea what car it was from? This seems like a good idea to pursue. You would retain the factory signals with a 6 bolt motor. Thats the best of both worlds.
