Intake Pipe Suggestions

Honestly, doesn't really matter in my opinon. I got one off ebay awhile back. Came with the cone filter and everything. Theres not really to many different ways to make an intake. A metal intake is a metal intake in my opinon. Your gonna pay for the name to get basically a metal pipe. The extra cash you'll save you could put toward something else.

Yea a dejon intake would be the "expensive" choice.

If you are running a huge turbo with a 3" or bigger inlet, you obviously didn't cheap out on that, so don't cheap out on the intake pipe and mate it up properly. In which case dejon has many choices and options. It's a very high quality product, powdercoated to color of your choice.

If you are running stock turbo, or 14b/16g, or any with an inlet <3", I would just look on EBAY. The injen intake knockoff can be had for about $60 shipped to your door. Not only will you get the intake pipe that has the bungs for all stock fittings (bcs, vc vent, charcoal canister) you also get a filter, if you don't already have one, and 2 filter adapters, the clamps, and vaccuum hoses that go along with it.

If you have a big turbo and refuse to pay the price for the dejon, make your own, pipe is pipe, just need to know how to manipulate it for the route you need.

I have experience with the both I mentioned. I have a dejon 3.5" intake pipe, on an obviously upgraded turbo. Has been great, the black powdercoating doesnt show any signs of wear. I also have experience with the injen intake knockoff, on a t25 with other bolt ons. Does the job, recirc tube and all fittings in stock location.
 
Eliminating the accordian flex and the BOV recirculation crap and just adapting a 45* 2.25 bend works nicely.

Research DIY IC Pipes and Intake pipes.

I still have my old 2.5" 2G modified intake pipe...it went 13's no sweat.

What can I say I like to try to do everything on a cost effective budget...:rolleyes:

Everyone summed it up, from the most expensive, to the cheapest, as gsxtacy just mentioned.

You should also be aware the suggestions mentioned are for easy recirculation of your BOV assuming it is in somewhat the same location as stock if you have or are going to upgrade your stock ic pipes.
 
Honestly, they are all the same. And this from the guy who has the $100 Injen intake! LOL

I would just get one of the eBay intakes. $50 to your door and you'll have the same "performance" as the Injen, Dejon, etc. A guy in my auto mechanics class has an ebay intake on his GSX and looking it over, I think its as good as my Injen. The only thing I can see worth changing is the air filter. Even then, just spend $25 on a K&N filter and you are set.
