Will wiring in the S-AFCII & not plug the S-AFC in hurt anything for the time being?

I know, I know. This is a very weird question but I just need to know if I solder in all the wires to the correct locations from the ECU plugs and NOT plug in the actual S-AFCII, will it hurt the performance of my car in any way? I would assume it wouldn't because all I am doing is splicing in wires, but I just wanted to check with the experts

no you cant because you have to cut two wires to install the safc and wire it in place...so your car wouldnt run if you installed it and didnt hook the actual unit up

Damn I totally forgot about that. Thanks a lot. See the problem is, I bought this S-AFC (GREAT CONDITION) used from a friend of mine and he bought it from another guy. The one guy like JB welded the S-AFC into like a stereo frame piece so that it could fit under an aftermarket stereo (single din). Well, since I have my stocker (double din) it won't fit anywhere. So I got to buy an aftermarket stereo so that I can place the S-AFC under it.

This is the way to go. Just plug it in and put in your base settings. Leave all the corrections at 0 and it will run like stock.

Like drewvr4 said you will have to intercept the airflow signal so the wires must remain hooked up.
