Fuel Pressure Solonoid

okay i have had this problem for quite some time whenever i start my car when the engine is warm i get a check engine light my logger tells me thats its the fuel pressure solonoid. Now im running a walbro 190 on the stock wiring with 660cc injectors and the stock FPR. For tuning i have safcII and GM maft.

Now im not sure if this is caused by my setup and something ill have to live with or if this part is on its way out. either way i would like to hear your opinions.

Have you changed the fuel pressure solenoid yet? They're easy to obtain and replace. I lived with my bad one for a while, just needed to rev the engine a few times or drive it around a bit. Usually went away before I hit the first light, and if it didn't, then I'd just leave it in neutral and hold the throttle at 2k rpms.

You get vapor lock on warm startups, your car could possibly run like crap for a little bit. It's your choice on what your do. You an either replace to avoid a CEL, or ignore it and run without the fpr. It won't hurt anything.

Honestly, i just pulled mine a few weeks ago. Drives just fine, didn't mess with hot starts on my car, and runs great. I have a 190 rewired though.

no it is still installed on the car. Its not really a big deal its only a check engine light that comes on when the motor is warm. If i clear it with pocket logger it wont come back till i start it again. Really doesn't seem to have a effect on my car its just a nuisance that i wasnt sure what was causing it.

Yeah thats going to keep coming back until you replace it or get dsm link to completely stop looking for the fprs. I am using mine to run my cyclone and I hace a cel saying that its not connect but the car drives fine. That Light is bother some though.

I completely removed mines but i dont think 1gs get a cel from it either.

Correct 1g's don't get a cel, BUT, 2g's can easily wire in a small resistor to trick the ecu into thinking it's still there.
