Ok well I am in the process of buying everything I need for a 6 bolt block swap, and also a new evo316g turbo and all new fuel system. When I brake in the engine I have read that there can easily be left over bits of metal or something that can work it's way in the oil and then into your turbo causing destruction. Are the oil filters you can get and attach into the oil feed line a good idea? It is not already filtered on the 2g is it? I have seen them offered by extremepsi and other sites. I am already buying like $1500 in parts from extremepsi tomorrow, so looking to see if it a good option to get also? If they would be helpful and necessary to prevent destroying my new turbo while breaking in the engine then I will go ahead and add that to my never ending list of parts.

Also has anyone bought all the parts separately for a 2g install kit and if so what the total cost comes out to around? They have them on ebay now for like 80 bucks but don't seem to come with many accessories. This is the ebay one I am talking about:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mitsubishi-Eclipse-Talon-Laser-New-2G-TURBO-Install-Kit_W0QQitemZ150109027910QQihZ005QQcategoryZ33742QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

The one at extremepsi comes with more but is like 70 bucks more as well.

Here is the one from extreme psi: http://www.extremepsi.com/store/customer/product.php?productid=17009&cat=336&page=1

And here is the filter I am talking about:

If anyone knows for sure please let me know. Can't seem to find any real good info on this and really don't want to screw up my new turbo after dropping 4 grand on parts and all already.

A turbo feed line filter is a good idea. It is just really important to check and clean it often.
the last thing you want is your new turbo to go bad becuase you didn't check the feed filter and it was clogged.
Some feed filters like the Forced performance one I have have a restrictor built in for bb turbos since the don't like high oil pressure. If your using a non BB turbo that restictor has to be drilled out to the right size to allow enough oil to the center section of non bb turbos.
Last if you are running a bb turbo and removed the balance shaft and did not port your oil cooler housing here http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=222778&highlight=porting+oil+cooler+housing
then i would consider running your feed line off your head since the oil prussure is much lower from there. But only if you are running a bb turbo.
