ok, after I got a set of tires installed on my 1g it wouldnt start. Before this problem, I had a problem with the mpi fuse blowing. I checked the wiring going into the fuel tank and noticed some bare wires. I put electrical tape over these and it didnt blow the fuse anymore. Well the day i got the tires on, I took the fuel hose going into the fuel rail off and had someone crank the car over. The thing is, there wasnt any fuel coming out of it but I could hear the walbro 190 and there is gas in the car. A day or so before the car suddenly did this, I noticed every time I pushed my clutch in far enough to activate the ignition switch, my cd player would always turn off. IDK if this has anythin to do with my problem but it seems ignition related since the cd player seems to have something to do with the clutch switch. Whats going on here? Could it be the fuel filter since I can hear the fuel pump bu theres no fuel getting into the fuel rail, or does it seem logical that it could be some of the wires for the pump in the tank rubbing on eachother or something?
-thanks

yeah but could a bad fuel filter just all of a sudden cause no gas to come out. Wouldnt it be more of a gradual thing, considering it was working that day
