Wanted to run 25-26 lbs, but dont want to kill myself running 104 all the time, the money spent on gas will catch up real quick. Car is just a weekend warrior, but I have a ported 2g manifol, and 2.5 to 3 inch exhaust welded as one piece, so if I switch to a T3/T4 Ill have to spend even more. I guess my only options are 50 trims with mitsu flanges? Or at least with a mitsu hotside to utilize my exhaust, I could see buying another one.

I read the E3 16G cold side is too small to run pump gas at that hight of boost, but the Garret 50 trim with mitsu flanges doesnt seem any bigger. I figure Ill have to spend a little more on a external wastegate and turbo, and maybe manifold, but I know the money Ill save on gas will pay off in the long run. I was even thinking 20G, but I hear you cant beat the E3's spool for street power. I feel like every other noob, but I just built my engine with all stock parts so a monstrous turbo is outtat the question.

I just want a around a 400-450 HP turbo I can run around 25psi on pump gas. (sigh):sosad:

You can get that out of a 50Trim with some really good tuning. Im running pump gas in mine at 30psi (my pump gas is also E85). I could get 22psi with 25 degrees of timing advance (on 91) with no knock out of my 50Trim and got 378whp at 6800feet above sea level. Power is all about timing advance and not the boost pressure. Get a Good Ported 50Trim that bolts up and you should be right in the area you want to be in. You'll have a bit more turbo lag than what you would with the 16G.

Right now im running 30psi with 32 degrees time advance with no knock on E85. Im gonna get the car dynoed in the next few weeks to see what it makes.

Check out SBR, FP or some of the other DSM vendors for which turbo you would want. Get one with a 7cm housing if you can.

I kept reading that when in doubt crank boost and lower timing, Im all confused now.

If you really want to run that much on the evoIII, get water or meth injection.

I never even looked into meth injection. Im guessing I could get a bottom end kit, ($200), since I will only need to compensate for a couple psi? Now that I think about it I remember reading something about windshield washer fluid...Ill search it, I just dont want to pour out $5.99 a gallon for race gas all the time.

Washer fluid would probably work just fine, or methanol. I think the stuff called HEET (yellow bottle) is almost 100% meth.

Awesome, I remember that shit when I lived in OHIO, dont know if they sell it in FL, but at least itll be cheap. Now for the damn system to inject it.

Im guessing, well I know everyone will say I have to log it first, but Im guessing that Ill just have it trigger around 22-23 lbs, and that way I can just see what my injectors will want to crank out. Now Im excited.

I have an EVO 3 and my plan is to add water/meth injection. Do a search on it as there are some very informative threads regarding it. The guys who have it seem to have nothing but good things to say about it.:thumb:

When I first read your original post, I was thinking water/meth injection. Two have suggested it, so this makes 3. Aside from buying it and getting the right setup, the washer fluid (or distilled water if it absorbs enough heat) should be negligible cost for a weekend warrior.

When you say buying it and getting the right setup that worries me. I was just thinking I would need a pretty simple single stage kit I could just make my SAFCII trigger it from 22-26psi, It wont be any crazy 35psi or anything, yet. Thanks for replies.:dsm:
