Improve spool up? 2g gsx

you could port the manifold and o2 housing, and if you are brave you can port the compressor outlet on the turbo. It has worked for my friend perfectly fine, it will spool up quicker and your boost will almost not spike at all

So umm I will be having a TD06H 20g installed kinda soon and I was wondering if there were any kinda parts or anything I could get to improve spool up?

Well to start, so we can try to help you, fill out your profile, then we can get an idea what you are working with already. So called breather mods seem to improve spool up a little bit. I know with my car I installed, intake, 3" exhaust, intercooler piping etc, that definitely helped out some. Seems to build boost a little faster, and just feels all around nicer to drive. Also increases the turbo spool sound, which I have to say is nice. Port work also helps out a bit! ie: exhaust manifold, turbo, o2 housing.
But please fill out your profile so no one wasts giving ideas or suggestions that you might already have.

I have the SBR tubular manifold, and I plan on buying a ported o2 housing before I have the motor pulled and rebuilt but I don't know which to go with :(

Will do.. :thumb:

You could heat wrap your manifold. But looking at those pictures in the other thread today it seems like a shame to hide that beautiful tubular manifold.;) So your left with running a nice big turbo back exhaust.

Profile updated... Would there be any difference in running a 3" DP W/ 3" Exhaust or just running a 3" turbo back exhaust?

Until you start melting things in the engine bay. :)

And to the OP, aren't those the same type of exhausts... :D

Agreed on both points.:thumb:

Heat wrappping the manifold or getting it ceramic coated would provide multiple benefits.

Tuning the engine throughout the entire power band will increase hp enough that it feels like it spools faster ( remember more power, faster revs, the faster the rev the quicker you reach boost.. its a chain.)
And in that sense, a lightened flywheel, maybe a dampened crank pulley, etc will make it rev faster.
