I'm having trouble understading a certain part of RRE's instructions on a 1g tb swap to a 2g:

"3. Insert a feeler gauge with thickness 0.45mm (.0177 in.) between the throttle stop and the throttle lever.
[Fold a piece of paper in half 4 times if you don't have the feeler -Ed.]
"

Can someone point exactly where this is in a picture And where exactly do I put the paper at?

Here's a picture of the Idle Position Switch and the lever on a 91-94 style throttlebody.

What does that do? The 1g I have connector for this is missing/cut.

Since im installing mine soon also, what do you need wo install it? So you just need the gaskets or is there more to it?

Well you can port out your stock gaskets to match the 1g tb. I bought a new gasket but I only got the tb to intake manny one. It's hard to find the tb to tb elbow.

Buy about 2 feet of vacuum hose that fits the new tb. And also buy some replacement coolant hoses that connect to the tb, mine were old and ripped when I took my stock tb off.

Thanks, also does the 2g tb elbow fir onto it? Do I need a new coupler? Do I have to empty the coolant before swapping them?

Your 2G TB elbow will work fine since the bolt pattern/spacing is the same. You don't have to completely empty your coolant before the swap but if you drain a portion of it there will be less of a mess when you remove the TB coolant hoses.

Don't forget to port your IM inlet to match the larger TB otherwise you won't be getting the full performance benefit of the bigger TB.

These are the instructions always broken was referring to it you haven't already seen them:

Right, I'm currently porting my intake manifold as we speak. The thing is filthy inside! This is really not as hard as it looks.

I'll be sure to keep the thread updated with gains I get from this swap. You too Romeen.. ;)

Im a little confused with this part of it.

Closed TP Switch and TP Sensor Adjustment [2G]

1. Disconnect the connector of the TPS.
2. Connect ohm meter between terminals 3 and 4.
3. Insert a feeler gauge with thickness 0.45mm (.0177 in.) between the throttle stop and the throttle lever.
[Fold a piece of paper in half 4 times if you don't have the feeler -Ed.]
4. Loosen the TPS mounting bolts. Turn the TPS all the way counter
clockwise.
5. Check for continuity in this condition.
6. Slowly turn the TPS clockwise until the point where continuity and
non-continuity is found (pins 3 and 4).
7. Tighten the TPS mounting bolts.
8. Check the voltage between pins 2 and 4 of the TPS with the ignition
switch on, but the engine not started.
9. Standard value: 400 - 1000 mV
10. Remove the feeler gauge.

The TPS is shown here:

If you are doing the swap, the 1g tps will not work with our cars. So you must take the tps off your stock 2g TB and put it on the 1g TB.

That arrow was part of the picture when I made the circle, But he made that arrow when I asked where the throttle stop and lever was located at. The tps is the only thing you swap out. I'll post pictures of the next steps like voltage reading this evening.
