I have been really sick for the past week and have not really been able to get under my hood. i have a squeling noise from my alternator belt (since i have no A/C or P/S) and im wondering b/c i just replaced it this last summer about a month ago. Real quick i looked at it and it is frayed on the side closest to the engine. I looked at the top pulley that it is connected to, and it looks like the side by the engine is a little bent causing the belt to fray. WHAT is the name of that pulley??? ive checked and checked but prbly in all the wrong places . Where could i buy a new one??? thanx for all the help, i wanna make sure i buy the right pulley b4 i decide to buy the wrong one. :dsm: :dsm: :talon: :laser:

yea i would just search for an alternator pulley for 2g....I have to replace that same belt at least once a year also...it always starts to squeal especially when winter gets here and it gets colder out the belts are just so darn thin and a pain to keep tight....Ive had it break on me before while driving..not fun :notgood: but yea take a look around for a 2g alternator pulley if its causing the belt to frey

the alternator pulley is the one on the alternator right?? i mean the one atteched to the engine that is right underneath the cams?? is that the alternator pulley too??
