Cliff notes - my problem also came down to the CPS.

Hey guys, attached to the wire, shortly after it comes out of the timing cover, there is a bracket that is aluminum, about 5"x5", with some holes. The wires clip to it with plastic snap ons. I can't figure out for the life of me figure out where to bolt it to. It looks like the a/c bracket is covering where to bolt it to.

I spent 3 hours last night scratching my head. :beatentodeath: My manual and vfaq only have pre 99's. I think this is a 97-99 thing.

Pics please!

there are so many improvements in the 99 engine that its not even funny. Crank walk? I don't think so. :sosad: With that said, I'm not going to convert to a 6 bolt cas. Any pictures?

No, that is another smaller bracket, that holds the actual connection piece. That did help though. The bracket I'm talking about has a gromet to help the wire come out about 5 inches before the connector.
