MSD DIS Install question

I bought the DIS for my turbo project. I was wondering if I could go ahead and install it and make sure that everything is working without messing up the stock timing. How would I have it tuned to stay on the stock settings.

Just hook it up, it will use factory ignition timing.

So I would have all the switches set to "off"

If you are using the "Boost Control" DIS (or whatever they are calling it), it won't do anything without a boost reference. You can still set up the 2 step and such, if you want. You will still get the powerful spark and multiple discharge.
