Pressed in new ball joints

I have a 1998 Eagle Talon N/T. I just pressed in a new ball joint, left front upper, and it was squeaking when I pulled it out of the garage! Could it be possible that I did not toque it tight enough? Also my parts guy told me that I did not have to put any grease in the boot. Is that true. How could it already be squeaking?

You need to install a grease zerk into the cup, and pump it full of grease.

You will want to remove the ball for this, and make sure to de-burr/chamfer the bottom of the hole in the cup.

How do I remove the ball? It came assembled the cup packed with grease.

Nevermind I was under the impression you actually pressed the ball in the cup, like we used to do back in the day.

I would check that you torqued it correctly. Are you sure it is your new balljoint, and not something else that is squeaking?

It only squeaks when I turn the wheel. I dont know what eslse it could be.

Yes or no on putting grease into the boot? The cup was pre-packed with grease.

yes ad some grease,if that dosnt work take the weight of the tire unbolt the joint and wiggle it,i bet its pretty stiff, work the grease in while you move it around until it moves freely.
