St. Catharines,
Greetings, I am wondering if anyone has, used, or has heard of this downpipe.
Is there much of an advantage (if any) to eliminating the O2 housing and related restriction? Or is it not that bad? (I will still be running an O2 sensor, and it comes with an O2 bung)
It's a bit pricey, but it is a nice pipe!

Thanks.

A lot of times with large turbos you need a custom downpipe for clearance. That will give you a lot of clearance. Thats what its mainly for im guessing. Very nice pipe but way over priced. I had a whole 3" exhaust welded up for that much.

It may be expensive but it looks damn good. If I needed a big downpipe like that I would consider it.

I have a 3" stainless steel RNR o2 eliminating turboback exhaust and i love it. It eliminates the o2 housing and it is one piece from my turbo to my high flow cat... then one piece from the cat back.

Although this pipe isn't overkill, it does go beyond your needs. I would say almost 90% of evoIII owners could be happy with a ported O2 housing and a 2.5"-3" downpipe.

In the end it's up to you. Are you looking to take your turbo as far as it can possibly go? Also keep in mind that since it flanges specifically for your turbo, you will need to reflange or buy a new part if you ever upgrade your turbo.

Also keep in mind that this pipe eliminates the catalytic converter, which could cause harm to Canada's pristine lakes and green trees (not to mention give your kids 3 eyes). :)

How much do THEY run for? Did it come with the cat? I didn't realize that the pipe I was looking at would eliminate my cat.:(
Can I still run that pipe and add a cat? I realy like that pipe! (just not the price LOL)

I am pretty sure that I will be happy with this turbo. (for some time anyway) Not sure just how far it will go, but I am in curently in the build process of my new motor and will be replacing (upgrading) many parts. My target is 325-350hp. (hopefully this is reasonable)

I was hoping to put a cat on this pipe. Didn't realize that this eliminates it.

I can't say definitively that this pipe's purpose is for eliminating the cat. The idea of the picture (due to it lacking the flange at the end of the pipe) is that it will go either way. You can just directly flange it and bolt it to a catback, or you can always cut it and flange it for a cat (high flow or it defeats the purpose). But then, you'd be getting less pipe and spending more money on a high flow cat.

This piece is definitely nice and not totally outrageous for your mods, but considering the price I would suggest other options. A ported O2 + downpipe will support your 350hp goals well enough.
