2G MAF install on 1G engine

What do I need to do to install a 2G MAF on my 1G engine. Have found posts on the GM conversion and MAf translator but not for the stock 2G conversion.

2g MAF and plug to be wired in and you will need something to compensate fuel. S-AFC or similar. It might be cheaper just to go with GM Maf and translator.

Naw it wouldnt be cheaper. Maf is like $10 at the junk yard and wiring in is free. Only thing he needs is some type of intake or a stock 2g intake. I have one if interested. Also safc can be found for 100-150
 
What some people do, which isn't ideal, but does work reasonably well, is to wire the 2gMAF in, and install a set of 550cc injectors. Even with the stock ECU, the ~20% extra fuel given by the 550cc injectors compensates relatively well for the ~20% leaner you'd run just by plugging in the 2gMAF.

It only makes drivability ok. Once you hit any boost you will knock like crazy. You need fuel control if you want to boost.

Pin 1 on the 2G connector goes to the green/red wire that was pin 4 on the 1G harness.
Pin 2 on the 2G connector goes to the green/yellow wire that was pin 7 on the 1G harness.
Pin 3 on the 2G connector goes to the green/blue wire that was pin 2 on the 1G harness.
Pin 4 on the 2G connector goes to the red wire that was pin 3 on the 1G harness.
Pin 5 on the 2G connector goes to the green/black wire that was pin 6 on the 1G harness.
Pin 6 on the 2G connector goes to the green/orange wire that was pin 8 on the 1G harness.
Pin 7 on the 2G connector goes to the green/white wire that was pin 1 on the 1G harness.
Pin 8 on the 2G connector has nothing.
