Is there any data loggers out there that use USB connectors and not serial ones?

theres a serial/ usb plug you can use to swap from one to the other. Some are better made then others though. So shop around. DSMLINK has some good info on well made "swappers".

You can try Radioshack or an electronics hobby store (Fry's) for something of that nature.
