So last nite im driving and...POOF..tires goes flat. I take it off to put the spare on and noticed the inside edge of my tire all the way around was stripped down to the metal threads. So..what caused this problem of my tire wearing out real bad on the inside only? Is it my camber?..do i need an allignment? Thanks

I know that when i had a flat i drove on it about 2 miles MAYBE and the inside of the tire was all chewed up. Might be because you were just driving on it with no air that it chewed up the inside while you were driving

Also, check to see if your inner fender wells are secure to the fender. I had one break loose on me and it chewed through three tires before I figured it out (it would only flex into the tire when wind pressure pulled it back into the tire).

Cheers,

Same thing happened to me like a week ago, but i only drove a mile on it. Had huge bubbles all around the sidewall once i was able to put air in it.

You should be able to stand at the front of you car and look at your car's wheel stance to tell if it needs an alignment. ask around before you take your car to an alignment shop because everyone cant do a good alignment.

How old were the tires? They could have been dry rotting,or maybe it was there time to go.
The sun plays a big factor in problems w/tires
Try not to park your car in the same spot and the same direction all the time.

I had a problem like that with my blazer but I popped my tire that was on the car and my spare

.:barf:

I hope that helps

Tire wear, especially on either the outer or inner blocks usually result from a combination of excessive camber along with incorrect toe settings, although incorrect toe setting will cause the biggest brunt of the wear as all you're doing is "scrubbing" the tires down the road.

Yes, get an alignment.
