Winnipeg,
Is there a specific DSM parts company? like there are so many for WRX's n STI's for example they have Perrin, all they make are STI WRX A/M parts..is there a site or place that does just DSM parts?

Also i need a new throttle body, my ICU is toast n so if anyone has a throttle body they'd like to sell me or know where i could find one, after market or stock used that'd be great!

Thanks

You can try diamondstarmotorsports.com and see if they have what your looking for right now. Or just go to trademotion.com/partlocator . Also, there is a possibility that you might find what your looking for on E-bay. Good Luck.

I would think that AMS would be for Evo's....I would think of SBR as being the DSM parts god...thats who I go to when I need something specific.

I second the Slowboy Racing vote. You can pretty much find anything for a dsm on their site.

If you buy anything from SBR your out of your mind. How can you trust a company who sells their motors, with a pic online of their pistons being in backwards. If your looking for a good place to get parts or anything DSM go to www.JNZtuning.com, hands down the best company i've ever delt with.

Look around on forums and you'll find a used 1g throttle body no problem, but why wouldn't you just get a used 2g throttle body? Either way, dsmtrader or classified of multiple forum sites is the way to get the best deal for the money.

Just remember that most 1G tb's will more than likely have leaking shaft seals. One other option you can consider is having your existing one rebuilt and /or bored out to be even bigger. Look at this:

He can bore yours bigger, replace shaft seals, and much more. From my experience he (Steve) responds to his e-mails promptly if you have any questions.

1G throttle bodies are larger than 2G tb's (60mm vs. 53mm). Putting a 2G tb on his 1G intake manifold would be restrictive.;)

ok..i've talked to a few people, n i think my best bet would be to plug the idle control unit bypass for the time being, n then eventually just buy a new or used throttle body. Thanks for the help!i appreciate it..
