Ok right now I have my PCV T into the breather side of the valve cover and then going to the intake with no filter. So now I get oil in there again like before. ( in the intercooler pipes too)

Reason I did that was cause the PCV was leaking under boost. It was brand new one. I did have a filter there, first a metal one, then a plastic one, the plastic one seemed to flow pretty good but I opened it one time and there was condensation in there so the filter paper was no good and pretty restrictive. Either one of them I think caused my cam seals to start leaking and the oil pan to start leaking from pressure build up.

So I need a solution. DO I purchase a new PCV monthly to insure its ok ( i have read they leak anyways no matter new or old)? I'm running 19psi on the 14b with 550s and 190 pump. So if I have a boost leak like the PCV it will alter things and I dont want that.

Any suggestions?

I dont really want oil in my intake either! And I deff dont want oil leaks again due to a restrictive fuel filter.

If you have excessive blowby from worn rings it will blow a lot of oil ect. through the pcv valve. Have you performed a leak down test as well as a compression test lately. Maybe its time you give that engine a checkup. Do you burn a lot of oil? Is the exhaust bluish?

Exhaust is not bluish. Did a compression check, and all 170+ across the board.

Car does not burn oil, just leaked it. Hopefully the oil pan leaking will be fixed wednesday after the sealant dries.

we unhooked the PCV cause when we did the boost leak test we could hear the air hitting the oil which means the PCV was no good. It was only a few months old at that point. From my understanding its only soppose to be a one way pass- from valve cover to intake not the other way.

autozone,

I did read the above thread, but as you notice it left with no solution. I read the long thread too. It ended with a few individuals using check valves. I contacted them and asking for details but got no reponse.

***** anyone know if the Evo PCV will work on a 2G?

A few quick notes. The Autozone ones will not properly work. The Mistubishi ones work better, but still suck over all.
The Evo question has been raised, but I believe they too suffer from sucky pvc valves. Your best bet is the PM with check valve info I would guess.
Sorry for the thread link you already read. Kudos 2 u for searching first!

Yea hopefully someone on here that has done the check valve can send me some info on to where to get the valve and how it worked out.

I might try and evo forum and see what they say about their PCV.

I did reply to the PM you sent me on 2-9-07. I still have it in my PM folder.

I don't know about the EVO PCV valves but I am curious myself. As for the plastic check valve it has held up very well for me. I have an air compressor so I do routine boost leak tests from time to time. I will unscrew my PCV from the VC but leave it hooked up to the IM. Without the check valve even the brand new oem ones would begin leaking at about 10psi and be blowing good by 18 psi. With the check valve no air at all that I can detect is escaping. However I have only limited miles on it and I plan to update everyone once I get past 10k miles or so.:thumb:
