Finally got it turboed but..

So we did it. We turboed my buddies 92 talon. Fun fun that was.

However the ecu hasn't been switched over yet. I dont know why he didnt want to do it. Guess he got impatient. But there are a couple of problems that are going on with the car now. and any help is appreciated.

1. The car wont idle smoothly. It idle surges between 1700 and 2000rpm's. The screw set makes no difference at all. The car idled fine before we boosted it.

2. The boost controller wont work. If he lets it the boost will just keep climbing. It wont stop. Or least that we saw. It spikes up to 10 almost immediately. It would keep going if he let it. I tried turning the boost controller all the way off. But it does the same thing.

Are these problems with the ECU?

Those problems can vary likely be boost leaks. Either buy or build a boost leak tester and check his system. Pull off the boost controler and blow in it or test it with a mityvac pressure gage. I blew in it with my mouth to set it low then tested it and turned it up once I started tuning. Make sure its plumbed correctly too.
