I have a 91 AWD turbo talon. I just bought this car and am looking to get a fmic pretty soon it is completly stock even has the bov cap on it. So what is a cheap good not gonna kill my wallet fmic that i could look into in the future. Also what cold air set up is better for the daily driver? thanks!!!!

Cold air setup? The 1g maf will suffice for a DD setup. Just get a nice smooth intake pipe for your turbo. If you're planning to do a FMIC, you would have to do a lot of modifying to the intake pipe to run it into the fender well like a traditional CAI. There has been a couple write-ups about CAI's with a MAF sensor.

Next, look on Ebay or check out SSAC (SS Auto Chrome) website. They sell them on ebay for the 1g with long route pipe. Or you could pick up the 2g kit and fab it. People have been know to get these i/c's off ebay for less than $300 for the complete kit.

Or you could always get the traditional ones from extremepsi.com, machv.com, dsmparts.com or etc.

p.s. Do a search first and find out which one you like... would be my suggestion. And read up before buying, like HERE.

Why an FMIC so soon....if your car is completely stock the stock IC will do fine for a little while...you are not going to see huge HP gains by just adding a FMIC to a stock setup, alot of supporting mods are going to need to go with it to actually use it and make it worth your while unless you are into looks...FMIC is usually something that is reserved for projects later down on the road...there are cheaper things you can do to gain HP...But best of luck..

This may help you spend your money wisely
