my motor is knocking in the bottom end.... I know its a rod... im a failure..... so much for my rebuild.... :barf:

i had the same problem with my galant...but dude i fixed it

i had to order a new crank, i got a butchered one from FFWD, put all new bearings in it and the car was fine. seeing the low miles on it you might be able to get away with just doing that.

then I would have to pull the motor and rebuild it... just did that... Im just going to get a long block and replace the motor, then have the busted one sitting off to the side for a crew project car....

I feel your pain. My first rebuild failed after 200 miles. Turns out that I forgot to rotate the balance shaft bearings so it would block off the passages and I had abnormally low oil pressure. Any signs of abnormally oil pressure or anything before it gave up the ghost?
