Toronto,
Ok guys,

Spring is almost here in Toronto, Canada and my spyder has been resting, however it's almost time to bring it out again. I had enough of driving in a 91 Accord, I hated it!:notgood:. Anyways, the car is pretty much stock and before anymore mods are done, a full tune up will also be performed. Over the next few days I will be doing a little shopping. The car is DD in the summer on pump gas. I want to achieve about 350whp-375whp with a good tune. I have gotten good advice from daren_p, a very good member on this site, and here is what we have come up with:

FUEL:
-walbro 255 HP w/t install kit
-AFPR fuel regulator w/t install kit
-750cc injectors

EXHAUST:
-stock ported exhaust manifold
-stock ported O2 housing
-custom 3 inch downpipe
-custom 3 inch catback
-high flow cat
-HKS carbon ti muffler

TURBO:
-GTR3076 50 trim dual ball bearing

ENGINE:
-APR head studs w/t a new head gasket

INTERCOOLER / AIR INTAKE:
-XS power FMIC w/t short rotue 2.5 inch piping
-HKS air intake
-HKS SSQ BOV

DRIVETRAIN:
-ACT 2100 clutch kit
-Fidanza flywheel
-Quaife LSD
-B&M short shifter

ELECTRONICS:
-DSM link
-prostreet boost gauge
-prostreet air/fuel gauge
-turbo XS dual stage boost controller

Let me know what do you guys think and if there is anything you want to suggest, go right ahead. I will be spending a lot of money , so I want to do it right. Thanks in advance!

looks good so far..might want to look into a wideband o2 also with the GT40 turbo is it a T3 flange? if so you will need an adapter plate or different manifold. also get a 1g TB or if possible get a 1g head with the intake manifold and throttle body.

You might want to consider an act 2600 instead of the 2100, it will give you a little more room to grow just incase your goals change

Very nice list... very nice.

-HKS SSQ BOV
-prostreet air/fuel gauge

BOV recirculated? You could use the adapter to recirc, though most people that get the SSQV's seem to want to vent...

Also, that AF is for the stock o2? Why bother. Just get a wideband probe into the dsmlink, or get a probe+gauge (also into dsmlink) that you can keep an eye on.

Can't wait to see this one. You should keep posting a log as you install parts, this would be fun to watch.

I think a GT3076 is a little bit overkill for your goals. A 50-trim would do you fine. If you are concerned about money, get a journal bearing one and spend the $500 you saved on something else. I'm also not sure about the HKS intake. I'm sure that's an overpriced piece of pipe. Also, if you're concerned about money, you could save some by getting a used 1g BOV instead of the SSQV. I'd suggest that while you have the head off and are spending money, get some cams.

That's what I'd do.

Agreed. Although some guys have had their 2100's hold up to good power there seems to be a significant number who have had theirs give out when they were confident that it shouldn't. My 2100 lasted about 20k on a FWD with a small 16G and no hard launches.

Regarding the ACT 2100, the only reason I was going for that is because the car will be a DD. So the 2600 can be pain in traffic, which by the way we have a lot in Toronto. If you really think I should go with a ACT 2600 kit, that would be fine for me. The members who have one and use there car for DD; if ther can provide some feedback as to how it is for them, it would be helpful! Moreover, I already have the HKS BOV, so I think I'll use that, as I know it could hold a good amount of pressure. Also, the turbo I have choosen is because it will give room to grow if I want to down the road. I will eventually get to the motor and start working on that, but for now I just want to play around with the turbo setup and see what kind of power I can achieve.

Furthermore, the power I want to make is about 350whp to about 400whp with a good tune. Do you guys think it is possible with this kind of setup?

I'll keep everyone posted as to how the setup goes. I have looked forward to this all winter but it was worth the wait!

:thumb: Keep the suggestions coming it is well appreciated!

After my 2100 went out, I got the 2600. Overall I am happy with the decision although I have a few reservations about it. I love the way it grabs. However it is stiff and far from ideal if you are stuck in stop and go traffic. But I did not mean to imply that it is the only other choice if you decide to go with something other than the 2100. There are other compromises between the two but I am reluctant to recommend a clutch that I have no personal experience with. Maybe some other guys running different clutches can help.
