need new gaskets ?

I plan on putting in a 2.3 stroker kit in soon and my dad is telling me that I will need all new gaskets when we put the engine back together. What gaskets will I need to replace if any at all ?

Every gasket inside the engine, head, thermostat housing, etc.

I am doing the same thing right now.

just buy a complete set of gaskets. replace everything while it is out and apart. you can get a good gasket set off ebay. I bought mine for 120.00 for a complete gasket set. just to let you know this is what i suggest to get because this is what i had to get as i found out later during my build

Gasket set complete.
Oil Jets (2g 7 bolts)
new bearings.


also good things to replace while the motor is apart
Water pump
Timing Belt
Timing Belt tensioner
oil Pump

if you choose to you can get rid of your balance shaft. I decided to keep mine because i drive my car daily and want a somewhat comfortable ride with less vibrations.
