Ok... sorry if its a noob question, but i have everything i need to upgrade my car a bit (660's, SAFC, Walbro 255, AFPR, 2g MAF...yeah, that about covers it), but, i have idle surge. Will i still be able to tune my car to run with alll these upgrades dispite it surging (1500 to 1000 back to 1500)??

Thanks for the input.

Have you done a boost leak test to see if you have any vacuum leaks? I would double check for vacuum leaks prior to tuning. You can probably go ahead and tune with the idle surge but if you find leaks later, you'll have to fine tune your existing tune again. Start simple.

I personally would fix all problems before changing anything.

Check your BISS, vaccum leaks, and ISC.

A boost leak test its your best friend.
It might even be FIAV failure, don't think?.

I have ran it through just about EVERY test i could find. And no... don't know of a way to test the FIAV other then just replacing the whole TB... which is kinda where i am now. It's not a vacuum leak (tested EACH line, ISC, added a block off plate on the E** {you know what i'm talking about}, and its not a boost leak test, it holds boost WONDERFULLY.

My next steps is finding a buddy in vegas (yeah Dragon Talon, that would be you =), and having him come by with his WORKING - NON IDLE surging car, and just SWAPPING parts that it COULD be (ECU, TB, ISC,...freaking EVERYTHING).

So... was the concenses, yeah you can tune it, but you'll just have to RETUNE when you fix the idle surge, cause it might change the other dynamics of the car???

Thanks guys.

ya i'm sure you could trow some kind of tune on it without many problems. you might have to change a few settings once you get thins all tied up but not the whole thing but either way if you can it would be a good idea to try to get everything fixed before you add more to it. if you dont' fix what is wrong now and add more mods then its jsut increasing the number of variables that could be causeing your problem.

Yeah.... you have a point. Dang it....just SO ANXIOUS to get these parts put in!!! but i guess I should figure out the problem first. But seriosly, i've done just about EVERYTHING you can do to figure out the freaking problem... i'll drop a list of all the things in the morning, as i can't even think straight i'm so tired.
