Please Help

ok so heres whats going on
i have a 90 eclipse gsx
we put a 91 talon tsi motor, trans, tcase, ecu, etc in to the eclipse
now when we start the car it idles at about 2000 rpms and wont go down, the check engine lights on and not sure why, plus when motor was in talon it didnt smoke or anything and now it blows whiteish bluish type smoke out when we get on the throttle and this is seriously stressing me out so bad because ive put alot of money into this in the past couple weeks and am having nothing to show for it, any direction to point me in would be great thanx for your help

im thinking blown headgasket maybe oil because of the smoke,

BISS might need adjustment also

First thing that i would do if I were you would be to find out why the check engine light is on. Autozone does it for free if they have them where you live.

for the idle the first thing that i would check is if your throttle cable is too tight.If that doesnt solve the problem then you can try adjusting your b.i.s.s. (base idle set screw)

thanks guys, we tried to play with the biss screw but we could not get it to turn, my shop instructor sprayed some liquid wrench down there but still no luck so well work on that tuesday, any one else have any suggestions? thanx for all the help, i cant wait to finally have a running dsm

take the throttle body off and get the screw out, then readjust it, you might need a new small O-ring that is in there, make sure you put a metal BISS in there from the 1G's ( not sure if the 90 came with them but im assuming they were not plastic like the 2g's) I only say this becuase if you end up adjusting the plasic one often the it gets worn by the metal threading

here is an O-ring if you cant find one that size locally.
