How about the aluminized version instead of stainless? Any welding (O2 bung) or durability issues if I went with it?

Def. go 3" with anything above 300 whp

How about this with some cheaper custom piping and muffler from my local exhaust shop?

you could do that and with an awd there is only 2 or 3 bends one on the downpipe off turbo and for the muffler

It has a really good price compared to everything else I've found. Also no need for a test pipe purchase with it.

Says it's full 3", but the pic looks like it goes down to 2.5" at the catback flange.

The ebay/megan racing ones seemed to have decent feedback, one of those suprisingly-good-for-ebay deals. They're usually 2.5 inlet to 3 outlet (not the style that neck down first). I could be wrong, but those are what I was looking at, they're a bit cheaper.
