First of all i'm posting here because I searched and couldn't come up with a clear answer. The motor is coming out a 95 TSI AWD. I know these are sort of noob questions but i'm a hurry and need to know ASAP.

Here's what I know so far about the 95 7 bolt:
The CAS is different it's under the intake and mine is at the end of intake cam.

Here's the questions.
I have an extra 98 head laying around can I just swap heads with sensor?
Will I have any fitment issues?
Will most of the parts be the same?
Which sensors if any will need to be converted?

Any help would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks!

I don't believe I understand the question. Do you want to take a 95 block and put a 98 head on top, and put that motor into a 98 gsx. And when doing that you want to know if there will be any issues with fabrication or sensors or wiring?

You should be able to swap the head with all the sensors and not have a problem.... they are both 7bolt motors..... the only thing you have to keep for that to work is you have to swap the flywheel and clutch from the old motor.... the FWD flywheel and clutch are different and you starter wont fit.... That should be the only thing that you need to worry about

Technically just the flywheel, but recommend the clutch as well as you stated since the clutch and flywheel have already been warn in together.

The heads are the same, it's just the CAS. And I'm not aware if that even makes a difference. I think the most you'd have to do would be swap wires... but I'm not sure.
