transmission not working

the other day i was driving my 91 talon tsi fwd and the car judded and the trans dumped out but the spedo still went up as if the car was still going, what is that, do i need to get it rebuild or what? and if i did would it be worth it getting a better lsd, im looking to do about 13's and right now i know it burns out way to much, even when the boost hits in second, thank you

oh ya i had just replaced the clutch a couple of months ago if that matters or not

The speed sensor is in the tranny, sounds like you've broken either the tranny internals or the LSD. Jack it up and check the diff, if you don't find anything wrong you are probably looking at a tranny rebuild.
