I know you can clean it by pouring gas into it and shaking it. Then I just thought of putting the whole thing into a parts washer full of kerosene and letting it run overnight. Any downside of doing this? I didn't really know if it'd be bad for the outside or anything, maybe i'd just have to rinse off the outside with water when i'm done?

I would think that kerosene would be WAY more abrasive to your fragile aluminum... I just cleaned my IC like this yesterday.. took about 20 minutes and about another 2 minutes to dry.... I used an air compressor with an air nozzle on the end and just blew it out....

tried and true method.... cant lose... :)
